
real family dynamic haymaker with a whimsical premise. it made me think a lot about how we compensate for our perceived defects, what it's like to feel a duty to give more and more of yourself even when you haven't put up the boundaries to keep yourself safe, our relationship to self-trust and the reliability of our memories... the type of book i wish i could talk to a therapist about lol
